Maintenance Type: Non-disruptive – this maintenance is the final cutover and completes the rollout of the Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure (NGCI) project for the US Service Zone. It will be non-disruptive provided that you have implemented all the applicable configuration changes communicated earlier, and detailed on the NGCI resource page at https://supportportal.thalesgroup.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0022660.

On Wednesday, 30th June 2021, starting at 20:00 UTC and continuing until 22:00 UTC (2 hours), our Operations team will be performing a non-disruptive maintenance on the US Service Zone only. This maintenance will complete the Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure (NGCI) project that will stop forwarding network traffic using old STA IP addresses and only recognize the new STA IP and RADIUS Server IP addresses. As communicated earlier, all customers that currently use the old hardcoded STA IP addresses and old RADIUS Server IPs for their RADIUS clients will not be supported. To ensure continuity of the STA service, you must update your IPs accordingly before June 30, 2021 as detailed on the NGCI resource page at https://supportportal.thalesgroup.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0022660.

Failing to make these configuration changes will prevent your organization from accessing STA starting 30th June 2021.

If you are not hardcoding the old STA IP addresses or RADIUS Server IPs, then there isn’t any further action required on your part and the maintenance will be non-disruptive.

Expected Impact:

Customers are not expected to be impacted by this maintenance provided that they’ve updated their STA configuration as described. We will update this status dashboard as the maintenance progresses (https://status.safenetid.com/).
